Empowering Asian Language Speakers  UQ Symposium  & QCAA Senior External Examination

Back in July at UQ’s Empowering Asian Language Speakers Symposium, Aruni Arachchige spoke on the recognition of Sinhala and the inclusion of community languages in Australia’s education system.

We’re excited that Aruni will be sharing her presentation once again. This time, she will provide a step-by-step overview of the process for having a language recognised and added to the QCAA Senior External Examination list.
Don’t miss this valuable session for all CLS!

ESAQ is delighted to welcome Anna Yamaura for a special professional development session.

Anna is a passionate and innovative educator who has been igniting curiosity in language classrooms since the late 1990s. With a career spanning State, Catholic, and Independent schools, from P–12 to adult education, in both urban and rural communities, Anna brings a rich tapestry of experience—and an infectious love of learning—to every session.

As an early adopter of ACARA’s Languages v9.0, Anna will guide us through the new curriculum with clarity and confidence, helping educators cut through the complexity and engage with the framework in a meaningful, practical way.
